The Explanation

A lot of times, those who need to be looked at are overlooked.
The ones that are passed by, disregarded, or passed off as "doing okay" are the ones that sometimes need to be noticed.

I live in a generation that is slipping more often than striding.
We don't walk tall for fear that life we'll be struck and knocked down.
We're told that we're shameful... that what we do isn't good enough.
We believe the lies that everything we do needs to be perfect... and if its not perfect, we must make it tolerable.

Unfortunately, the ones who I think believe this lie more than anyone are we who are Christians.

This is just the first of many posts that I hope will encourage those who need it most.

Dear friend,
Consider the last six verses of 1 Corinthians 1.

"Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."

I see friends falling.
I watch helplessly as their struggles drown them.
And it is because of witnessing beloved acquaintances pull away from the Help they need that I have begun this blog.

I want to see change.
I want to be a part of change.
Christians, of all ages, need to know, in all seriousness, that they were not saved when they were at their best... they were saved when they are at their worst.
I see neglect in reassuring those of us who are considered youth that God meets us where we are... no matter how many times we fall.

Christ died for every sin....
Not just your past mistakes, but also those you will make.

We are fallen individuals, and Christ is our only hope.
